What a year! I have moved half way around the world - literally, I have travelled through England, Belgium, Malta, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and celebrated New Years in freezing Poland (pictured). I rented a studio in East London and to my surprise have been working full-time Freelance since March... Wow - what a year, and I haven't even mentioned some of the amazing people I have met and become friends with along the way.
When I started this blog this time last year I was talking about how scared I was moving here and how I worried about finding a job in such a big city. Well... I'm still scared shitless and I still worry about getting a job ha! I just haven't had the chance to yet. The work has found me funnily enough. I am so lucky, like really lucky. Its the reason why I haven't posted as much as I was going to I have just been swept up into the blizzard of Freelance life and man it sure has been fun.
I have found myself being referred to as brand designer which is new. This year I have helped clients develop 5 new brands and have helped to launch 3 of those. I have collaborated with some really talented designers and artists on ad campaigns, new ventures and even an App! The App if all goes well will be out in the next few months, but keep your attention here for an update on what it is. It feels great to be trusted by clients, I really care about them and the work I produce and I count myself lucky, really lucky (running theme here).
So I guess this means 2014 was a success. So what does 2015 look like? To be honest I'm still figuring that out. I have a big project in mind that I want to take time off for so that could be it, if not I might try and evolve some skills, I really love solving problems so any new knowledge or client/partner that can help me, I'll be in touch.
I hope to post more this year. There are some major updates coming to the site (a whole years worth of work).
